About

What is Lauria Land?  Long before I met my husband, Lauria Land was the place to be.  He, his younger siblings (all in their 20s), their friends, their parents and their parent’s friends would come over to hang out.  Football games, birthdays, holidays, weekends, a random Tuesday – everyone ended up at Lauria Land.  Why?  They felt comfortable.   They were relaxed.  They felt at home.

I hope one day to create that same feeling.  I hope my house is the one that everyone goes to.  I want the Lauria Land name to continue when we have our own place.  In the mean time, my Lauria Land is here.  This little slice of internet.  I want you, my readers, to grab a cup of coffee (or a drink, I don’t discriminate), kick your feet up and feel at home.

I’m a teacher by day.  A special education teacher.  I teach students with Autism.  I absolutely LOVE what I do and I love me kiddos.  They make me laugh every single say and I couldn’t ask for any other career.  I also work part-time with two young boys.  I’ve watched them grow up and learn and experience life from a different perspective.  They have taught me lots and lots….and lots of patience and they mean the world to me.

Not that long ago, I married the most amazing person I could ever find.  He is my everything and I couldn’t imagine my life without him.  He keeps me feeling young and makes me laugh all the time.  What more could I ask?

I consider myself a creative person.  I enjoy crafting and everything that comes with it.  I could spend hours at a crafts store to find inspiration.  Friends joke about my OCD tendencies (I alphabetized my spices, my closet is arranged by the colors of the rainbow, etc).  I feel less anxious when things are organized.

So grab a drink, kick off your shoes, and enjoy your stay here at Lauria Land.
